Packing Up

Wow! I have spent all week, off and on, packing my office. I am still not finished. 19 or so years of files and stuff can sure take time to go through. I have taken 4 bags of trash out - why did I keep all of that until now? Who knows. I have thrown away paid bills and receipts from 1991-1996! It sure felt good to get rid of it! I cleaned off the computers in my office of personal files and copied them to our computer at home. That took a day.

The Sunday School stuff had to be put on the Sunday School laptop for the next Texas District Sunday School Director. I will continue to serve until the October District Board Meeting and then they will appoint someone until the 2007 District Conference in March. They have asked me be at the General Conference meetings, but I will have to see how much the flights are. They will help some. I will chair the September Planning Session and organize the Kid's Day in Quitman, TX with Keith and Carla Clark. That will be fun!

We are leaving in the morning for a final REALife (College and Career) trip to Dallas and Medieval Times. Then we will go on to Pflugerville to meet Mom and Dad for the weekend. They will be joining us for church this weekend - to see where this place is and what the people are like! We will attend the Bernard's church on Sunday night. Monday morning, I have a walk-through with an Inspector at the house we are purchasing and then we will head home. We are thinking of driving through Crawford to see where President Bush's "Western White House" is. A FULL WEEKEND.

Sharon Bivens will be our official "Cookie" hostess. Cookie is our dog. She is so graciously staying at our home to make sure our only girl is taken care of!

Next week is a Garage Sale to pass off our worthless treasures to some wonderful soul who would love to have them! So - I'll take a break from office packing and head into the closets at the house. I cannot wait.....
