First Weekend in Pflugerville

We are in Austin preparing for our first Sunday as Pastor at New Life Church of Pflugerville. We spent this evening at dinner and at the church with Craig and Carol Crowder who started this church. We talked about a number of things - what has been done in the past, background on the members of the church, making the transition and so on. We now have keys and the alarm code! They are very nice people who have put themselves into getting this church off the ground. They are excited to let us take the lead. They will be taking care of most of the service tomorrow, she will teach Sunday School and then I can see what they are used to. I will probably sing a chorus with Karla and Cameron playing before I preach. Then next week, Sis. Crowder will teach the Sunday School lesson and I will handle the service after praise and worship. We will see after that. We will probably take the whole service.

We have a serious bite on our house that should be on or off within a day or two. If they buy it, they want to move in July 20th! That is quick! We will have to see what happens - PRAY!

We will head back to Wichita Falls tomorrow afternoon to allow Chad to go on his last LIFEsaver outing Monday. It would be his last even if we weren't moving because he will be 12 August 30th!!! Can you believe it - our baby!

We are looking forward to our service in the morning!
