In talking with veteran church planters, one of the most valuable tools you can have is to create an identity from the moment you step into town. So, we have been working on a logo and cards to hand out to everyone we meet as we move to Pflugerville. I am not crazy about having my picture on it, but it is a way people can start to identify you with the church name. This is probably not the final design, but it is close. Another item that I have been told has worked tremendously for new churches is a website. It makes you look much more substantial than just a little storefront and a few people. It is also a way to announce events and allow people moving into the area to find you. I have not locked in the web address, but hopefully I can get that done in the next week or so.
