Sunday in the Saddle!

We hit the ground running upon our return from the Quitman Anniversary Service and prepared for another great Sunday in the saddle! We are still on the Great Adventure!

We were so excited to break our record again today with - 62 in attendance - and no special push! We had 7 in our new nursery ministry during service and 3 new complete families visiting with us. God moved in a great way.

The prison Thanksgiving Dinner (that we had catered) went great and had over 100 in attendance. Our people reported that many families were crying and around the front praying at the end of the message.

Tonight was our first Discipleship Class. We had 13 saints in attendance. We are having them on Sunday evenings since we do not have service and most of them do not have to work at that time. They all enjoyed getting to know each other better and coming in casual attire! We learned that one of our ladies, who grew up Catholic, was planning to become a cloistered nun.....but in 9th grade she received a kiss from a guy and that plan was out the window! LOL!

PRAYER REQUEST:
Please be in prayer for Baylie Adams. She is the 6-month-old sweet daughter of John and Mikki Adams (Kim Dutton's sister). She is in Dell Children's Medical Center as the doctors try to discover what is causing her not to gain weight and some other issues. Our God is a mighty God and is able to correct any problems that may exist in her little body. One doctor thought that she may have cancer, but thank the Lord, the doctors at the hospital have ruled that out! We are believing for a complete healing.

Hello to the Holley's

I should come over and tell you more often how I admire both of you and the work you are doing. I find it extremely exciting.

Your new work is so much different from ours. Yours looks (and probably feels) like a "real" church. Ours is not quite there, although we do have powerful moves of the Holy Ghost, and there is rarely a time we come together that we don't feel an awesome presence of God. That's the truth--not an evangelistic statement. :) We're so grateful for that.

None of our people are backsliders--except for Mike--so all this is new to our people, and it is taking a while to get them fully involved in the Pentecostal style of worship. They are so precious though, and so dear, and I love them deeply.

While not at all complaining about our building--for I still cannot get over its being provided free of any cost to us--the thought of having a real church, microphones, set pews or chairs, etc...Quite a dream.

Anyway, again congratulations on your breaking your record, and of your beautiful church and your phenomenal progress. I admire and love you both.

Your site is beautiful. Very well done.

Sis. Buxton,
We read your blog and enjoy the great reports from the work you are doing there. Thanks for stopping by and your compliments - they mean a lot.

Mandy,
