Crusader Camp Testimony

I received an email yesterday with a wonderful testimony from last year's Texas District Crusader Camp! I was so excited to hear what God did in this child's life. During Campmeeting last year, I felt impressed of God to have a healing service at our Crusader Camp the next week. I mentioned it to Bro. Green on the platform and he agreed. We had been entering the camp forms from these children and could not believe all the medication these children were on. So, I mentioned it to Bro. Lyn Story, our camp evangelist, and told him that if he felt to do it at a specific time to go ahead. It was unbelievable what happened as children began to believe that God was healing their bodies. I will never forget it. Read the following testimony and you will understand what kind of things God did...
Last year, Nathan was ten years old at Crusader Camp. He had a great time at camp doing all the activities and playing softball. His team was even won the Camp Championship. But, the most important thing that Nathan received from camp was his healing.

At the time, he was on six different daily medications. He suffered from asthma, allergies, reflux, and migraine headaches (due to a car accident a few months before). The last night of camp, Bro. Story had a healing line for the campers. He said it was the first time he had ever done that at a children's camp. He said that he and the camp officials were concerned about all the children that were on medications. They especially was concerned about the amount of children on asthma medications, so he had everyone that had to take breathing treatments or asthma medications on a daily basis to come up to the front. Nathan went up, and they prayed for him. In a few minutes, our pastor and I noticed that he was walking around praying for other children. We could actually see God’s anointing all over Nathan. He later told us that God had healed him. That night in our RV, when it came time to take his medicines, he said, "Mom, I can't take my medicines because if you take medicine and you are not sick, then it could hurt you. God healed me tonight, and I don't need my medicine anymore."

We went to see his doctor the next week and she ordered a breathing test. She said that she would agree to him being off his medicine if the test came out okay. Well, needless to say, the test was great. Later, we went to the headache doctor and she said he didn't need his headache medicine anymore. The day after he took his last headache pill, he asked if he could flush the rest down the toilet, and I told him, yes. After he flushed them, he raised his hands and thanked the Lord that he was healed. We had a celebration standing in the restroom at home. It was the first time in ten years that he was not on ANY medicines. I have said all that to say, Nathan will definitely be at Crusader Camp this year because we would not want to keep him from whatever blessing God has in store for him this year.

Thank you for ALL of your hard work to make Crusader Camp possible. May God richly bless you in your endeavors.

Sincerely,
David & Anne Welch
Needless to say, getting this the week before we would be going to camp again this year makes me want to be there...but God had other plans and we are glad to be where He wants us! This child's testimony makes you want to stand up and praise God for His blessings. Nathan will never forget this life-changing experience and neither will I!

P.S. - A big thank you to all of those who are reading this and helped us at the Crusader Camps through the years. It was worth every moment of work!

Gene and Karla, I just finished writing a little post about summer and camps, then I came over to your site and this is what I found. WOW! Youth Camps and Camp-meetings are well worth the effort and money. Thank the Lord you were willing to follow His leading and have a healing service. Nathan will for sure never forget the miraculous power of God he experienced at your camp.

P.S. I meant the little boy (Nathan) in your story. Not my Nathan. LOL

Awesome!!! I want to keep a child's faith. We tend to think they're too young, but forget the greatness of God!

That Friday night was the most powerful service I think I have ever been apart of in my life. I will never forget children walking to the front and raising their hands only to began to speak in tongues instantly. It was absolutely amazing.

It most likely would not have happened without your burden and leadership. No matter what you do, you do it with all of your heart. You are a Hero of Faith for me. I love you and hope you had a wonderful Father's Day.
