Gas Prices

I'm amazed at how excited I am to see gas under $2.00!!!  LOL!  I'm probably not optimistic enough to believe it will keep going down or that it will even stay this low, but I'm excited about it right now.  Just this week my car was down to "8 miles left on this tank of gas" so obviously I had to fill it up.  The task of watching the number go up and up and up over the past several months has not been enjoyable - it was taking $45 and more to fill up my Avalon!!  I can't even imagine having a truck or Suburban or something like that!!  Anyway, this week I paid less than $30 to fill up from empty!!!  I was so excited I had to snap a couple pictures.  LOL!

I hope you all are having a great week.  We are!  We closed on our house this past Monday, so we now will begin the remodel/redecorating of another place.  Of course, most, if not all of the house work will be delayed until after the installation services next week.  We are beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel with some of the remodel at the church.  It's looking great.  It's amazing to me how just a new coat of paint can change a room!

And... just like the new coat of paint can make a room beautiful again, God's touch can change a life so dramatically that it looks brand new.  We are watching some amazing transformations take place in the lives God is touching.  I love to see a new or re-newed person soaking in the presence of God.

Okay, so I know this post is quite a bit of rambling, so I'll leave you with a quote my Dad always loved to say to me.  This has absolutely NOTHING whatsoever to do with anything I've already said in this blog, I just thought of it and wanted to share it with you.

"If a task is once begun, never leave it 'til it's done.
Be the labor great or small, do it well or not at all!"

Congrats on the house and church! As for the gas prices isn't it sad that we are rejoicing over it being so low when once we moaned over approx $2.00 per gallon? I think the government knew what they were doing!

If gas will just stay like this until after Christmas, I will be happy. I can definitely feel the difference in our budget. Congradulations on the house. Ya'll could go pro with remodeling. LOL

I love the lower gas prices too! Kenny says it's like getting a raise! In Tyler, the lowest we have seen is $1.96.
BTW, I love the quote.

Can't wait to see your house.
I'm soooo happy for the gas prices going down. I actually filled up the other day (from empty) for about $40.00. YEA!!! And this is California.
I love that quote from daddy. I haven't always liked it. lol However, as I grew up I began to appreciate it. Amazing how that happens. Go look at my last post and read number seven. It's in bold print. That was another of daddy's principles.

I too love the lower gas prices. When I got my Mustang Convertible for Christmas a few years ago, it would only take $20.00 to fill it up; nevertheless, since the price increast it was taking $40.00 and up. Now, I can fill up for around $30.00. Thank you Lord for these blessings!

I must agree with everyone else about the lower gas prices! I'm also thrilled about y'all being able to sell your other home and buy one here in WFalls! I've been praying about that for awhile now.

You think you have it bad! We are excited to see it go under 2.00 for a litre!!! It takes a bit around 4 litres to make your gallon. Now you should feel really good!!!

We got excited seeing the gas below $3.00 a gallon the other day. I don't know why California is so much more than the rest of the U.S. We were near $5.00 a gallon so $3.00 looks great to us.
