Well, it's time for something SPICY!! One can only take so much turkey, dressing, ham, etc. So... I'm fixing a pot of Taco Soup. It smells sooooo good! I'm going to make cornbread in a few minutes. It's nice and chilly outside. Christmas lights are up (on other people's houses - LOL). Jazz music is playing through the stereo. It's just the kind of night for staying home and eating soup.
I took some time yesterday to do a little shopping. I can't remember if I've ever shopped on black Friday or not. I did NOT get up EARLY to go!! I couldn't find anything in the sale papers to make me want to be out of the house by 4:00 a.m. I told Cameron I'd rather spend the extra money! I was able to find a couple good buys on things on "someone's" Christmas list at a store that will remain nameless lest someone should figure it out.
Gene and Dad have been working on the house. We've been looking at cooktops, ovens & microwaves. I have to make up my mind soon, so we can get the right stuff ordered. It's a hard decision - these aren't items you just run out and change if you decide you don't like them.
Tomorrow is Sunday. I'm sure our crowd will be quite small with so many out of town for the Thanksgiving holidays. I hope all of you who are out visiting are having a wonderful time with your friends and family!!! We look forward to seeing you back in town next week.
I pray that each of you have a blessed Sunday. Please keep a special friend of mine in your prayers over the next few days - God knows who and why - but your prayers are very much appreciated.

Karla, I want your Taco Soup Recipe. :) Have a great Sunday. :)
I'm a little late, but I had to say how much I LOVE Taco Soup! Billy gets very sick of it during the winter, and is begging me to make Tortilla Soup instead!
