Time makes things better...

The first day of school was a little traumatic. We are adjusting in so many ways! First year in High School, first year in Middle School, a new town, bigger schools and more traffic! Both schools start at the same time and end at the same time. They are about 15 minutes apart - so we are searching for the best roads and schedule! The boys had people to eat lunch with today...better than yesterday. Schools of a 1000 and knowing no one is a little overwhelming. Time makes things better.

We had 19 on Sunday and 14 tonight! We have printed and distributed calendars with special dates for our church on them - something they have never had here. Today was our first Church Fast Day. We will have a Friend Day on September 10th. Everyone is supposed to bring a friend and we will stay for a dinner afterward to meet each other's friends. They will share something special that they like about their friend during service. We have Outreach Days scheduled starting in September, the first one will be the Saturday following Friend Day. We plan to take home-baked goodies to our Friend Day visitors to follow-up and also go door to door with flyers. I have to map out our efforts between now and then. We have had several church members from the Austin church that live in Pflugerville offer to help on our Outreach Days. We will take them up on their offer!

Our business cards came in yesterday with all the current info and our new numbers. We passed them out at church tonight. Our new sign will be in on Friday and hopefully we can get it put up before going to California for Danelle's wedding. We had a full-color banner printed to stretch over our current sign and attach on the back. Then when we move from this storefront to another one or our own building, we can take the banner to use there. We are slowly moving things around to update the look and more visitor-friendly.

I have added prayer just for church members before Sunday services from 9:30-9:45am. That will leave 15 minutes before Sunday School for Coffee and Fellowship. There was no time built-in for the Church to pray together, so 15 minutes will be better than none! His Presence and our unity is a must for lives to be changed!!

Time makes things better. It all takes time. Continue to pray for us to know what to do and when to do it.
