On-site!

We are now in Pflugerville and have internet access! You do not realize how much you use the internet until you do not have it! The move went great - not easy - but no major issues. All of the valuable pieces are still intact. We had some awesome help - packing, loading, unloading and setting up. I can't say exactly how much I appreciate it.

We spent Thursday loading the truck (and a trailer and 5 vehicles!) with all of our stuff! We got out of town around 6pm and on the road. We arrived in Pflugerville around 1am and had to unload the pickup's so that the stuff wouldn't be stolen at the motel. So, we got in bed around 3am. We were unloading at 9am on Friday and had the truck emptied by 12 noon! It empties much faster than loading! The rest of the day was setting up beds, the kitchen and such.

Our dog, Cookie, had a lot of new experiences in this process! She went on a trip with us, she rode in a Uhaul truck, she rode an elevator and stayed in a motel....needless to say, she was a little disoriented!

Saturday was a slow day...on purpose. We went out to eat with my parents, the Elms, and Fraziers. The Elms had to go home for services on Sunday while Karla and Sis. Rita had to go to the grand opening of a huge outlet mall in Round Rock (on tax free weekend, no less!) Bro. Kenny and I mowed and edged our yard - and sweated big-time. It was quite humid here this weekend.

Service was great on Sunday morning - we had 19 in service and 3 regulars absent! Of course, 6 of those were from Wichita Falls, but God really touched our new converts in the altar service. We thought we probably would not go to church at the Bernard's on Sunday night since we were so tired, but we decided we could not stay home!! I have been trained too well. Plus, everyone was gone and it would be kind of lonely at our house. It was good and a needed touch from God. Cameron got to go out with a group of youth also.

There is a couple who just moved here after he graduated from Seminary, Bro. and Sis. Younkin and their 6 mo. old baby. He is looking at starting a work in East Round Rock and is wanting to get some experience helping in service, Bible Studies and such. She is wanting some experience in music - she sings alto. They are going to start a home fellowship group in Round Rock on a week night, but will be available for our service times. So, they will start attending our church next Sunday. They are a really sweet couple and I can use someone else to help lead services! I get tired of my own voice!

We met a sweet saleslady yesterday in Ashley Furniture Store. She greeted us when we first came in the store and then later walked up and asked us if we had been to church or something because we were dressed so nice. We were in everyday clothes, but I guess the world is so casual now that we looked dressed up. We had a great conversation with her and were able to invite her to church. She is looking for a church home. She really seemed hungry and said she would come! I asked God for one-a-day and there she was.

We are going to have to change our church seating! We are running out of room. I am ready to see a new babe recieve the Holy Ghost...it's coming!

WOW, I better stop - this is getting too long!
