Feels Like Vacation

It's very interesting living in an area where there are fun things to do and see. Monday evening we went downtown to see the Urban Bats that live under a bridge over the Colorado River. They say there are 1.5 million of them. They take flight in the evening looking for food.

During August you can see the largest flights take place. It was incredible!! They started flying out from under the bridge at about 8:10 p.m. and some were still coming out at 8:30 p.m. I've posted some pictures, but there's no way to understand how many there were until you've experienced it yourself.

Here is also a picture of Gene and the boys with the Texas Capitol in the background. Isn't that awesome?!

On Tuesday evening we went downtown again to watch the Rose Bowl Champions - UT Longhorns - practice. It was interesting - of course, you all know me - I LOVE football!! I would have been more excited if it had been the Cowboys!

Things are going well here. We had 11 at Wednesday night Bible Study tonight. We thought that was pretty good. I'm sure it will continue to grow as they get used to a regular schedule. The house is slowly coming together - but we still have some work to do to get unpacked.

And, here's one more picture. This one is especially for Sharon - yes, we DO have beautiful sunsets in Pflugerville!!!!

Okay, so I'm a little slow, but I finally got to see this picture and, YES, you do have fantastic sunsets. Maybe one day soon I'll get to see one for myself.
