The last two seats...

Our friend, Rodney Shaw, just returned from Scotland and had a close call with one of the bombings we have been hearing about on the news. He and his daughter were there for 9 days. He was teaching and touring with Brooke.
The attached image is of the Glasgow airport. Brooke and I flew out around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, and Al Quaida attacked the airport sometime around noon or shortly thereafter. The multi-story building on the left is the Holiday Day Inn where Brooke and I spent the night. We walked out of the hotel, crossed the street, and walked through the doors where the Jeep is.

We missed our flight the night before and had to spend the night at the hotel. The flight we took Saturday morning only had two seats left. If we had not been on this flight, who knows what could have happened?

Praise God we were able to get out.

Thank the Lord for His protection. How many times has the Lord kept watch over us and prevented something tragic from happening? The last two seats....!? Wow.

It's just amazing how God works. Although I didn't comment on all your posts, I have enjoyed catching up with my reading of them. It sounds like Karla had a great time with Karen and Dora. Karen has a been a forever friend to Brian and I. Also, happy belated birthday.

Wow!! It amazes me how a person can be anywhere, in whatever danger, but if you are doing God's will you don't have a thing to worry about. This reminds me to stay in His will at all times. I don't want to be finished before He's done with me!!!

One of my favorite scriptures is:
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord". Thank God for his protection for Bro. Shaw and Brooke.
