We had outreach on Saturday morning and enjoyed fellowshipping with the saints.
Sunday was a good day in the House of the Lord. We had several out sick, but enjoyed the surprise visit by Jimmy, Betty and Brad Cash. It is always good to see "home-folk!"
Sunday afternoon we allowed the Pfluger-Rock Music School (where Chad takes drum lessons) to hold their piano recital in our building. They are three doors down from us. We moved our platform stuff out of the way and an upright piano was rolled in. (Piano teachers do NOT want their students playing on an electronic keyboard! They are purists.) They were expecting around 75 in attendance, so we had all of our chairs out for them. When I came back at the end of their recital, they had pulled the chairs from our foyer and Sunday School class to accommodate the crowd - 90 people had shown up!!!
We are excited to offer our building. These students and their families have at least been in our sanctuary and know where we are.
We prayed on Sunday morning that the presence of the Lord would be in the building and reach to any soul that was searching for Him. I got to talk to several of the teachers and they loved our building. The school is wanting to use our building again, but will split the piano recital into two sessions at different times. The next recital is drums and guitar. They are wanting Chad to participate. Next time, we will be serving cookies and punch at the end of the recital. This will allow some of our people to be there and meet the student's families.

Glad you enjoyed yourselves!
Hey Carla! Good to hear from you. Have you been out of the country or something. It has been quiet over there in East Texas! We did enjoy ourselves and even ended up putting on jackets and turning on the heater! Kind of like those hayrides, we used to go on when we wished we had a heater to turn on.
From having read Ronda's, Linda's and your blogs, is it a preacher thing to take a drive to relax? Brian and I do that often.
Ohhh, the joys of riding out into beautiful country in a convertible. I love it!

We are still in the country! It's been really busy trying to finish up school and the expansion.
I'm so excited for you!!! I miss you terribly...TERRIBLY!!!! I love you all VERY much and hope to see you soon! I wanna come visit your church someday...I can't wait to see what Pflugerville's all about!
NICE Jeep by the way! :)
Jana, I do think it is something many people could enjoy - but preacher's might just really enjoy it because it allows you to get away from the 24-hour-a-day responsibility for a little bit. It is a way of taking a vacation for a few hours.
Ronda, you really DO have beautiful country all around you!
Aimi, We miss you also! We would love to have you come visit...make your plans and come on.
