First Missionary

We enjoyed hosting our first foreign missionary, Rodger White, this Wednesday night. He and his wife are missionaries to Malaysia and Indonesia. Actually, they are tourists! They are not allowed to be missionaries, so they stay for 30 days in one country and then fly to the other country for 30 days! They don't own a car because of having to get it across the ocean every 30 days or so. Our church thoroughly enjoyed and were blessed by his ministry. We took them on as our first Partner In Missions. Their niece lives in Georgetown and she joined us for service. She is not Pentecostal, but was very touched from the worship time to the altar service! Bro. White was so excited to get to pray with her. Sis. White was with her sister in Ohio (this niece's mother!) spending time together.

Indonesia is where the huge tsunami was a few years back. Keep them in your prayers.

Here's a strange but true story- Rodger White was a minister in the Mount Vernon church some years ago (like > 30). It is a small world.

Don- That is unreal! It really is a small world and you better be careful what you say about anyone!!! There just might be a connection somewhere.
