Office Remodel

Here's a couple photos to show the work that we are doing in my office. We are adding a study area with a desk, cabinets and bookshelves by taking out a closet wall and expanding it. We are taking out the hanging ceiling and installing ceiling joists with sheetrock. This will raise the ceiling some and keep more attic heat out.  If you look in the upper right hand corner of the photos, you will see a piece of Bro. Ensey's mural from when the building was first built almost 30 years ago!  I believe it was a forest with lots of orange leaves to go with the trendy orange carpet!  Everybody was using those colors then.  More to come...

I'm sure it will look beautiful when it's completed! Wow, that's hard to believe it's been 30 years since we built the church!! Oh......I'm getting soooo old!

Are you sure you don't want orange carpet? It would sure make people remember Life Tab LOL! So glad the 70s are over!

I can't wait to see it finished! I know it will look awesome when you're done. I do remember that mural. Hard to believe it's been that long ago...

I remember that mural...everyone thought that Bro. Ensey's office was beautiful...guess it was back then. I still remember the dedication services, my mom finally let me wear high heals, LOL! TOO FUNNY, that was the "good ole days"!

I remember the dedication also - even that long ago! We worked until about 6pm that day putting in plastic baseboards. The ladies in the choir had matching cream colored dresses and the guys wore navy suits with matching ties! The building was quite a step up from 5th and Burnett, but all I guess all things need updating along the way. It is crazy how colors come and go. What we once loved, we can't stand now?! Why is that?

This sure brings back a few memories! I do remember Bro. Ensey having the mural, but what was it....a forest scene? I also remember the ugly beige choir dresses. Thanks Sis. Karla for letting us wear our own clothes that we picked out! As a young teenager those dresses were a little too "old"! LOL!
