This is a followup to my message last night! I know it sounds crazy, but we had a great time in church! Here's the video that shows how important it is to build our house (life) from the strong truths of the Word of God. This life is not all about playing around. Others may laugh and scoff at us because of how serious we take our preparations for eternity, but in the end it will pay off!
Psalm 271 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
When we are upon the rock, Christ Jesus, we can lift up our head and sing—
"Who's Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf?"!!!
I have recieved word today of several families who went home and enjoyed laughing at these silly pigs. After service last night, the little children were even gathered in the back corner of the sanctuary singing this song. Doesn't it feel great to have someone as powerful as God on our side? "...whom shall I fear?"

That was an awesome message!! It's amazing how we make such a big deal out of nothing. Thanks for the reminder.
Oh how I missed that service last night!!!!! My asthma/allergies were absolutely AWFUL yesterday. I'm not used to an inhaler, but it sure seems a way of life anymore. I do have an appointment with an allergy doctor Oct. 7th.
When Harden came home last night singing that song, I thought he had lost his mind, but then he explained! I can't wait to hear it via our website!!
Sounds like fun!!! The enemy is just like the "big, bad wolf," in that he is full of hot air!
And the kids are still singing it today! I must admitt Mason did ask if Bro. Holley Really was sure it was ok to preach about the 3 pigs. He new it was about the devil but I guess he didn't think you could tie it all together.
It was an awesome service, one that will never be forgotten. Staci and Tiffany sang it all the way to El chicos. I woke up this morning with that song still stuck in my head. I enjoyed the video.
What a great presentation for a message - it is one that the young ones can relate to, and gives them insight into the wiles of the "wolf" who comes around in sheep's clothing.
Well now, I am curious about the message. How can I hear it?
Sis. Tena - go to our church website (there's a link on our blog). Go to the audio page. The message is "Who's Afraid of the Big, Bad Wolf" from September 14. I know you would really enjoy it!!
Love you, Karla
Well, I didn't get to hear your message but I can imagine it was great. Brian has preached several messages from children's Golden Book Series. Everybody loves it when he does this and the ushers tell us no one runs in and out on those nights. LOL
You were right to think I would enjoy the message, Sis. Karla. I just finished listening to it and wow! So uplifting and encouraging! Love you guys!
