Getting Ready for School

Getting home from vacation meant it was time to start thinking about school.  Classes begin here in Wichita Falls on Monday.  Cameron will begin his Junior year at Rider High School.  Chad will be in 8th grade at Zundy Junior High.  Zundy was not our original choice for a junior high - we wanted McNiel - but we know that "all things work together for good..."  We are here in the will of God and know that He is in control of all things.

Keep our boys (and all students) in your prayers in the upcoming weeks.  School can be a stressful time for some kids, and the peer pressure can be great, but we serve a greater God!!  I firmly believe a kid can make it through public school and live for God through it all - especially if they are covered with the prayers of those who love them.

Karla, I will be praying for the boys this year. It is an adjustment changing schools, but they will do great!

While we have a Christian school, I KNOW kids can live for God in public school. Probably greater than 50% of our students are non-church kids. It is our goal to reach each of them. I know your boys can be effective in outreach @ their schools.

Amen!!! Cover them in prayers for sure. This is a going to be a great year for all of our kids in school this year. I can just feel it. They are definitely part of this "harvest".

We serve a keeping-God. I went all through elementary and high school at a public school. I lived for God, and made it through the hard times and it made me stronger. I thank God for my school days, God proved himself to me and I proved myself to him. Today I can understand when my young people come to me with school problems and pressures because I have been there. I can testify to them that God will take them through because I am proof. We will keep your boys and young people in our prayers.
