My wife and I had our first experience at the conference, "Because of the Times," this week! It was phenomenal! We attended with another couple from our church, Terry and Donna Stephens. They were a lot of fun to travel with and get to know better. We forgot our camera, so we have very few photos, just what we got on the phone!! We had a great time in church and travelling... that is just about all we had time for. We travelled there on Tuesday and arrived through the torential rain just in time for service. We slept for a few hours and then left the motel around 8:15am each morning, returned at 4:30pm to get ready for the night service which we had to leave for at 5:45pm so that we could get two seats together!
We saw SO many friends and even family that we didn't expect to see in the crowd of around 2800 people. The services and messages were just what we needed to hear.
We were empowered to continue on. We were blessed to sit with Steve and Karen Wehrle one night and then with our friends from Cedar Park (another daughterwork here in Austin), Melvin and Lisa Reddy another night. The conference was aptly themed, "Downpour," because of the outpouring of the Spirit AND the natural rain that continued for much of the time we were there! There is no way to explain all that happened, so I will just say— "We definitely got wet in the Downpour!"

Sounds wonderful! I would like to go again sometime. We got to go to the very first BOTT and enjoyed it so much! Maybe some year we will get to go back. I'm glad ya'll had a great time!
Glad ya'll got to go! I am sure you feel refreshed in the spirit though it sounds like you need to be at home for a few days to recover! I hope we can go in the future sometime! Love Ya'll!!!

Awesome! I love BOTT! I'm so glad you went and had a time of refreshing. I guess I'll just wait on my DVD's and then have BOTT all over again. :) Glad you're home safe and sound.
We are glad you got to attend. We've only missed 2 or 3 through the years, and I always say they can't get any better, but this year was the best yet.I got a glimpse of Karla the last night but wasn't close enough to speak.
We were with Tom Foster the weekend before and we stopped on the way from Dallas to Alex to get some breakfast at Wendy's and Ron must have gotten some bad milk (it was not cold) and by the time we got to Alex, he was ill. I left him
upchucking Tues night. He went Wed. night but sat in the prayer room. He was better Thurs and we got most of the services. We got to sit in front of Belinda on Wed because our section was full, and it was an awesome service for her.
It was difficult for her because BOTT was a special time for she and Scott.

Thanks for the report. Brian thought he was going to make it this year but it didn't work out. Hopefully, he will be there next year. I have never heard a negative word about this conference.
