Chad is 12!!!

Last Wednesday was Chad's 12th birthday, and I should have done this then but didn't think of it. He is still receiving messages from friends, so if you would like to leave him a birthday message here, that would be great!!

We didn't "celebrate" his birthday until Friday. We went to one of those fun places that has video games, mini-golf, lazer tag, boats, cars, pizza, etc. They had a special going that was a surprise to us - then a lady turned around and gave us a coupon for "buy one get one free". The special included everything at the park - nothing was extra! We ended up eating dinner and having fun (4 hrs. worth) for less than it would cost us to go to a decent restaurant. Afterward, we ran by Wal-Mart and bought his present - Madden '07 for XBox - then came home and I made chocolate chip cookies (Pillsbury!) and coffee. He was happy with his celebration that night. We stayed up until 4:00! They thought it was great - and it was. Just getting to be together as a family and have fun is wonderful.

Chad is going on is first official youth outing this Friday to a sectional youth rally. This promises to be a fun and exciting time for us all - we no longer have a "little boy" in the house but a fine young man.

Hey Chad!

I am so proud of you. You are the fuel for much laughter in our home! You make my days lighter and full of fun. You also take very seriously the things of God and I pray that you continue to put Him first.

You are a great shut-down crew at church and you have done a great job with projecting the welcome screen and words for our choruses. It won't be long until your drums will be in the church and another talent will be used. Thanks for all you do!

Happy 12th Birthday - the one you have been waiting to attain for so long.

I love you - Dad

Chad,

Happy belated birthday. Now your Mom and Dad have a youth group! A great one to set the example of a busy youth group putting forth the effort to do all they can do for the Lord. :-) I do miss your smiling face in Sunday school your willing spirit. I also know that God has great things in store for you in the next 12 years. Can't wait to come and surprise you all some day. Hope all is going well in your new school. Just be that bright light shining for Jesus.

Chad, I remember when Kathy was so excited about turning 12. It looks as though you have done it in pfine pfashion. Keep making your family and us smile. You look as though you have grown so much since being gone.
